This diy snake hide idea was given to us by one of our moderators (Wild-Type). I think it was a brilliant idea for anyone wanting to make their own snake hide for their snake using natural resources from outside. As always, make sure to use caution when using outside materials; there might be unwanted insects on the materials that may invade your enclosure.
This is Wild Type’s corn snake hiding in the DIY snake hide that he made. Pretty cool right? The amount of room is perfect for any snake ranging from 3 – 6 ft. There’s enough room for the snake to move around comfortably, but the room is also small enough for your snake to feel secure.
He made it from a piece of a palm tree that he got from his backyard. Everyone knows what this is, because we all have them in our backyards. Something this big in a pet store would cost you around $60 – $80, but for you it’s FREE. Juts go to to any park, backyard, and rip one of these off a palm. The best ones are the ones that have already fallen off the tree, since they are more dry and sturdy. The outcome of these in an enclosure are quite remarkable, as you can see in the above picture.
